Involving Spitex (ambulatory care service) to provide personal hygiene and oral care proved to be a difficult step for his mother. However, Mr. Reinhart received support from his mother’s primary care physician. Without the primary care physician, he thinks his mother would not have Spitex today.

R: Die Spitex, das war ein riesen Schritt. Das war für sie ein wahnsinniger Schritt. Die Spitex kam zuerst vier Mal. Jetzt kommt sie sieben Mal, d.h. jeden Morgen… und das waren ein paar Kämpfe bis das… aber da muss man dann einfach manchmal auch ein Machtwort sprechen. Ich habe Glück mit G [Ärztin]. O hilft mir wahnsinnig. Wenn G [Ärztin] etwas sagt, dann ist es in Ordnung. Dann schreibt sie es noch auf.
