Mr. Ott felt morally conflicted about concealing from his mother that he was transferring her to a home.

Mr. Ott did not manage to have a conversation with his mother about the nursing home. Out of consideration for his mother, he decided to refrain from informing her about the plan to transfer her to the nursing home; he did not want to frighten her. This, in turn, triggered in him a sense of moral concern about whether it was right to conceal the information.

O: Was soll man machen? Eigentlich wollte ich immer ehrlich sein und war ich vorher auch. Ich habe gesagt, was los ist und was Sache ist. Aber weil sie dann Angst gehabt hat, fand ich, willst du sie irgendwie bis im November in diese Angst lassen. Der Hausarzt, wie auch die Spitex fand, wir sollten es nicht sagen. Das fand ich schwierig. Ich weiss es und der Tag X rückt immer näher. Aber willst du sie immer in dieser Angst lassen oder machst du einfach diesen Schnitt.
